I’ve been fascinated with treasure hunting for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I read every book I could find about lost treasures in the United States—from legendary lost gold mines and pirate treasure to my all-time favorite, the mystery of Oak Island.
In 2014, I became disabled and suddenly went from working all the time to feeling bored, stressed, and depressed. Then one day I discovered mailbox mining, also known as ordering gold paydirt online, and instantly fell in love with the hobby. Like many beginners, I learned the hard way that not every paydirt seller is honest, and I probably got ripped off more times than I’d like to admit.
To help others avoid making the same mistakes, I started a small blog documenting my gold recoveries and sharing honest paydirt reviews. Today, that blog has grown into Miller Prospecting—a website and YouTube channel dedicated to helping gold prospectors discover the best gold paydirt sellers, avoid the worst ones, and enjoy everything related to treasure hunting.
