The Review of Pan More Gold 2lb Bag Paydirt:
I have to be honest, I have been holding this 2lb bag from Pan More Gold for a while now. I am not sure why I have sat on it for so long, maybe it was the price, or the lack of a guaranteed amount of gold. They do claim on the website:
Our pay dirt on average yields 200% more gold than any that we have tried from Alaska, North Carolina, or California, and many customers report finding between 1/3 and 2/3 of a gram per pound or more!
Yet they also make sure to point out a few times that “Every Bag is different” so I took that claim to be more boasting then factual.
Yet here I am about to pan out my 2lb from Pan More Gold. The thing that really struck me as odd is that the 2lbs came in two 1lb bags. I had one of my friends order this for me and he order 2lbs for himself. So the actual order was for 4lbs, two for me and two for my friend. All four bags were individually wrapped in 1lb bags. Most sellers do the exact opposite and combine multiple bag purchases into one bag. So I wonder if you buy a 100lb bag if you would get 100 individually bagged bags.
The second thing that really surprised me is the paydirt itself. From the outside of the bag the paydirt looked to be all fine material, probably in the -20 range. Yet once opened and classified I was surprised to see so much material in the +10 range. In fact the paydirt was pretty equally distributed in all ranges.
Now once I got to the actual panning I didn’t find anything in the +10 I really didn’t expect to. I did expect to find a little the -10/+20 material, and I did. Not a lot mind you but enough to make it fun. Then I hit paydirt or the gold or whatever you want to call it. I found a whopping 140+ pieces of gold in the -20/+30 material. Which was way more then I expected and it really made for some super fun panning. The -30 did have more gold but less then the -20/+30 but still enough to make me happy and add to the scale.
In the end I found almost exactly 2/3rds of a gram which is pretty much what they boasted about. So I am so glad I was wrong and reminds me I always need to keep my prejudgments to myself.
Pan More Gold 2lb Paydirt ended with a score of 8.8 out of 10.
I was really happy with this bag and most of the dings in the score are due to easily fixable things, cheap bags, website descriptions etc. The paydirt itself was really good and had no real complaints except I didn’t make my friend give me his 2lbs!

This review is my opinion and my results may vary from your results. My bag may have been a bad batch or a great batch, remember no two bags of paydirt are ever the same. So please use common sense when buying paydirt from any seller. Oh and good luck and happy panning!
