Gold N Paydirt 2lb Jackpot Bag Gold Paydirt Review (

As always it has been far too long since my last review. Also as always you can blame my doctors, as they always want me to do this or do that, or go here and get these tests done. Worst is they always want me to come sped hours in their waiting rooms watching my soul drain away, lol. What little time wasn’t wasted by my doctors went into finishing some projects around the house and in my gold shed.

The good news is, while i spent those hours shriveling up in the waiting rooms I made some spreadsheets and templates to use for future reviews. These will cut down on some of my time I used to spend shooting or reviewing gold paydirt. In turn I will now start giving full reviews on the videos. That means final numbers, ratings and oh yea ROI’s.

I still hope everyone will still come visit my blog as every 1000 visitors or so I make a penny and that penny helps fund all those bad bags of paydirt I buy simply to review, lol.

Well on to the review and remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel HERE so as to not miss any of my reviews.

The Review:

GoldNPaydirt got its start selling sluices. I know because I tried and tried to get one for the longest time. The owner Brian used to sell the bucket sluices on eBay and I emailed him numerous times about them. It was on my wish list for the longest time, but with most money going towards paydirt I never had the extra funds. Then once I did have the money he had stopped selling them and moved onto paydirt. So I figured if I can’t get the sluice might as well get the paydirt.

GoldNPaydirt sells its paydirt not only on it’s website but also on eBay and Amazon. Now the reason I tell you this is because the prices vary from site to site and not in the normal way. Most sellers charge more on eBay and amazon due to the fees they are charged. This is not the case with GoldNPaydirt, as most times the prices are higher on the website. So I found the best price on eBay and that is where I purchased my paydirt.

Okay, so now more about the paydirt itself. This stuff is dusty and I mean dusty, but it really doesn’t foul up your water which is a good thing. It contains a ton of magnetized black sands which will make getting though the paydirt much easier if you use a magnet. If you don’t it will definitely help make this a challenging bag of paydirt to pan out.

I must say as a sort of disclaimer that I am pretty sure, like 99% sure, that I hit the jackpot in this jackpot bag. So not sure how the jackpots work, but pretty sure the nugget might have been the jackpot. If it was it would have changed the ROI greatly. With out that nugget I recovered 0.342 grams of gold worth $13.93, so would have had a final ROI of 48.89% so that nugget really changed the final ROI and review rating.

GoldNPaydirt’s 2lb Jackpot bag ended with a score of 9.1 out of 10. The ROI was over 100% and I can only assume that is because I had a jackpot in my jackpot bag. The paydirt was extremely fun to pan as I found it difficult with all the black sands. The really only downside to this paydirt was the descriptions which are slightly confusing. Also having to shop around between multiple sites for the best price was time consuming. They did get a higher grade for packaging for double bagging though.

This review is my opinion and my results may vary from your results. My bag may have been a bad batch or a great batch, remember no two bags of paydirt are ever the same. So please use common sense when buying paydirt from any seller. Oh and good luck and happy panning!

  1. Nice bag of dirt for the price! I’ll be looking forward to future reviews of the same product to see if you get similar results.

    • As much as I love getting jackpot bags, which isn’t that often it also sucks. It then means I have to buy it again to get a non jackpot bag to find out it’s basic ROI and Review. It’s not a bad problem to have though, lol.

  2. Do you know what are the gold looking flakes in GOLDN paydirt that disintegrate when rubbing? They look like gold at first, but rub them and you get a streak of gold looking residue that is definitely not gold….this could be very deceiving for a new gold panner, they will think they really did hit the motherlode! I have always gotten some gold from his paydirts. What are your thoughts on this?

I recently bought 2 – 2lbs bags of Jackpot Reserve Paydirt, as well at 2 – 5lbs. bags of the Nugget Reserve paydirt( Buy 1 get 1 free on website). The Jackpot was a disappointment as I only recovered a combined .52g of gold including a .18g picker. The jacpot bag had tons of blonde sand and mica. I ran all the material twice including using a set of classifers(1/8 thru 100 mesh), a bucket sluice, and a blue bowl concentrator. I have kept all of my tailings for a time after I get a miller table(possible I missed some). Not impressed by the Jackpot Reserve.

As for the nugget reserve, so far I have found several fine/flour pieces of gold( from -70 plus one 100 mesh through +30 -20 mesh). I will be going through the plus 20 mesh in next couple of days. I will be keeping all of my tailings as well for future check.

I placed order on July 4 that I am trying to cancel, as it is still unfulfilled. There is no contact info or customer service info on the website.

Overall not impressed with the results.

I finished the nugget reserve late last night. total weight of .45g of gold including a .21g picker. My ROI comes out to about 20.7%.

My ROI on my 2 jackpot bags came out to 31.4%.

Overall, both bags helped get my bucket sluice broken in and running good. I am saving all of my tailings to check for losses when I get better equipment.

As for my July 4th order, they have created a shipping label for the USPS, but as of now, the USPS has not listed it as being in route or picked up. No response on getting a refund.
I found their email on my paypal receipt, not their website.

Looking forward to more reviews from you. Thanks doing the reviews. Keep up the great work.

      • Hey
Wow those are some seriously disappointing numbers. It is one hard thing about reviewing paydirt when they have obvious or designated jackpots and you win one. Obviously my bag is going to have a inflated ROI because of that. Also I find it disturbing they don’t have a contact page on the website, I totally missed that omission. I will be contacting them about that tonight.

I wouldn’t worry about a miller table. If your blue bowl is set up right it should catch 98-99% of what a miller table would catch, and that last 1-2% wouldn’t make any differences on most scales. The only way those numbers are going to go up much is if you lost a lot of the larger gold as blue bowls and miller tables aren’t made to find those, they are designed for flour stuff.

What kind of bucket sluice are you running? Odds are if you missed any good amount to up your ROI significantly it would be with it. I would either run everything multiple times or use a pan and try panning some out to see if it is missing larger stuff 10-50 mesh.

Bye the way, your label and mine are different.
Jackpot is written on your bag, my label is printed. Not sure why, I ordered from them within a couple of weeks of your review.

I am using a California bucket Sluice. It has drop riffles. The tailings go went through a stack of classifiers and then panned. On the jackpot bags I ran all the -30 through -70 mesh dirt through the Blue Bowl. Just a few specks where found.

As for how good this sluice is, I ran Lynch Reserve XL through it( 2g. guaranteed). I recovered 2.12 grams, all of it + 30 mesh or larger. The losses for the sluice were shockingly small.
Most of the gold was caught by the sluice, 2 pieces caught by the classifier screens that where plus 20 and one -20 + 30 mesh. All of the tailing that were +30 were panned. There was zero gold in the -30 to + 50 material( not uncommon for Lynch Mining). I saved the rest for later.

I had 5 days off(a little staycation) and had a ball tweeking my setup and panning( no wife in the garage to bug me, haha).

I got to go through a 5lbs bag of Lynch’s Belmont. I recovered .31g, all it was -20 + 30 mesh. I found zero above or below.(1 Black Label comes today. I’ve been very happy with all 5 bags of Lynch Mining Paydirt( I feel I got what I paid for).

Love your reviews. I recently ordered from Dirt Hog as well the Yuba River 4oz sample bag from Amazon. I use your site as well as Wayne Schmidt’s site for some guidance.

Bye the way Dylan, where do you sell your gold. I will be looking to sell mine so I can buy more equipment( Gold Hog Multi Sluice, hopefully)?
I know Gold Hog($20.00 fee) buys as well as Klondike Klinker’s.

          • Well it definitely seems like you have your setup set properly. Also glad you at least enjoyed the LYnchMining bags, and hopefully you will enjoy the Dirt Hog as well.

As to selling my gold, I have sold a small amount to GoldHog (easy process) but the vast majority of it I sold on ebay (surprisingly I later found out to a paydirt seller, lol). On ebay I can adjust more for classifications and if the spot price makes a huge jump.

  4. How long did it take for you to recieve your shipment of goldnpaydirt?

  5. I bought the 2lb “Premium” and only got .17g after panning it 4 times and running it through clean up sluice. Seller said that’s what you get in their bag on avg and didn’t care that I spent $60 for .17g. I would never buy from him unless you like wasting money. I offered to buy a second bag to see if I got a bad bag but he wont reply because he knows the roi is horrible. He deleted my review on ebay so I want people to know his dirt had the worst roi out of 16 lbs from 7 different sellers. I hope you don’t delete this comment so people can see how shady they are. Thanks for the reviews!!

    • Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Even though I loved getting the gold out of a jackpot bag, it made it hard to review an average bag. If 0.17 is an average bag on a $60 bag they definitely have much better sellers.

  6. Ordered a 2 1/2 BOGO “nugget” reserve bag…5 lbs total….recovered .34g. At $65, the recovered gold was worth about $14. Slight above a 20% ROI.

    I would NOT buy again….

    • I have heard a lot of low ROIs with this seller, in the 20% range.

      • Yeah same here didn’t find much in 3 different kinds Jackpot eleite and reserve and also bought the multiples so that I should have gotten a better ROI BUT GOT ZINGED. He made plenty off of me. My best overall ROI came from CONSTELLATION MINING average 50% and sometimes 80%.

        • Constellation is a better bet then GoldN bags unless you hit the jackpot. Which might not even be a real jackpot. A lot of the review I have seen are showing a 20% ROI, so a jackpot with double gold would still be a 40% ROI.
