Eureka Joes 2lb Taste of Alaska Bag Gold Paydirt Reviews (

Well been a while and much longer than I had intended to get this review up, but good news is I have another review for tomorrow as well. I haven’t had time to update all the old reviews yet, nor really work on the site much but be patient eventually will get it done. I still have a lot of plans for this blog just really need to find the time to do it. I have been spending my available time working on my gold shed, so you should see a marked improvement in the video quality and lighting. Replaced all lighting for last reviews and adding some more soon.

I also again want to thank those who have donated to me. I have thought about adding a sponsors page or something to honor you guys but not sure if viable since not everyone might want to be named. Either way I do thank you all, and really hope my videos or blog help you find the most gold you can.

Well on to the review and remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel HERE so as to not miss any of my reviews.

You can view my video on how all new reviews will be reviewed HERE.

The Review:

EurekaJoes has been on my want list forever, but it’s always been out of my price range to really try. At $55 for a 2lb with no guaranteed gold it is a gamble, and the prices only go up from there. I finally decided to try the lower priced bag and maybe one day in the future will try one of the $100+ bags.

My initial experience with EurekaJoes wasn’t very good, as I emailed them twice on got no reply over a 72 hour period. The final email was answered in about an hour or so, and they did apologize about the missed emails earlier. After that initial down turn it all went up hill. They answered all my questions and even answered some I hadn’t asked. The next day when I did order the paydirt I got a ship notification hour or so later. Three days later I had my paydirt all the way from Alaska, so shipping was remarkably fast.

The paydirt itself was fun and took a long time to pan all out. One of the things I overlooked for the longest time was this is a 2lb bag. Even while panning I kept looking down and thinking to myself “why is this taking so long” then realized again 2lb bag not a 1lb bag. So this bag will take longer than most sellers 1lb bags. This extended time panning really made for a fun time, so was really happy with the panning part of it. What’s funny is the last review I did was also a 2lb bag, yet is so uncommon it still freaked me out. I need to stop ordering so many 1lb bags, lol.

EurekaJoes 2lb Taste o f Alaska bag ended with a score of 8.4 out of 10. The ROI was pretty low which really impacted the score, but they also had a lot of 8’s due to slow customer service and a basic description for the paydirt. I know in my video I said I would give them a 10 for customer service but after thinking about it, 2 ignored emails was too much especially since you have to confirm your email to them. I did decide to raise the bag quality up to a 10 since they are double bagging the paydirt.

This review is my opinion and my results may vary from your results. My bag may have been a bad batch or a great batch, remember no two bags of paydirt are ever the same. So please use common sense when buying paydirt from any seller. Oh and good luck and happy panning!

Good job, Dylan! And Thank You!
New to your site but it’s already worthy of a very positive review itself.
Been buying one brand on an auto order but Thanks to your hard and dedicated work I’ll probably be seeking another outlet. The ROI looks to suggest that’s the way to get the best bang but freight is always a serious variable.
I’ve hundreds $$ invested in 2 outlets: 1. The 2lb bag prices were tolerable themselves and if you considered they would stuff as many bags into a USPS “If it fits, it ships” box, you could get two for one. But, their Au was mostly all -20, and maybe you could squeeze out a1/4 gram. We enjoyed, more the rough semi-precious stones they tossed in. We’ve since stopped ordering. Material is pretty clean.
    2. This other company (ROI in the 40’s) does include a few nice nuggets (1/3rd to 1 gram) but cost way more and freight is about 20% of the cost. Nothing is smaller than -30. Material is pretty dirty.
But, again, thanks much Dylan. Big, big help.

Thanks for the kind words Charlie and glad you enjoy my simple blog. It still needs a lot of work but hopefully one day soon will have it all organized and manageable.
As to gold paydirt, yea sometime ots worth buying from multiple sellers. The real problem is avoiding the bad ones, lol.

  2. Have you ever done a review on Jeff Williams its good paydirt try it even though it good dirt its dirty dirtbut its fun try it you will like the end

    • No I haven’t yet, he is on my list though. One of the reason I haven’t is because it needs to be crushed down to capture all the gold, and that has kind of put me off.

      • Not really my son and I did a 1 pound and we didn’t have to crouch it down we every one even the fines you will love to pan it his paydirt is never short

        • Guess I will have to move him up my list then. Still might take a bit as already have the rest of this month and next months paydirt bought and ready.

      • I would like see the scale you give to his paydirt gets

  3. Hi just wanted to say thank you for your reviews ive tried a few sellers they all seem to be comparable to exactly what you have said in your reviews keep up the good work thanks again
