Golden Spear Mine 300g Bag Gold Paydirt Review (

Before I begin today’s review I need to apologize for my camera. It is dying and haven’t had the time or funds to replace yet. Hopefully by my next video review it will be on a new camera. I had had plans to replace it for a while but like most things in life hobby stuff always gets put on the back burner. Sadly though it has gotten to the point where it seriously needs a good replacement. So hopefully soon…..

I also want to point out that today’s review will be with an all new “Review Criteria” so please take that into account when comparing this review to others. In the next 7-10 days all old reviews will be re-computed with the new criteria so expect a lot of number changes in the next week or so.  You can view my video on how all new reviews will be reviewed HERE.

Well on to the review and remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel HERE so as to not miss any of my reviews.

The Review:

I cannot tell you how excited I was to hear I had this bag of paydirt coming in. I always want to try new paydirt from new locations and this was going to be my first bag of paydirt from Australia. In fact I actually don’t know of another seller who sells paydirt from Australia which is what makes it so much more exciting. I actually jumped this paydirt to the top of my list to review just because I was so excited.

The customer service was astounding with this seller and I asked him a ton of questions. In fact I went way overboard because he didn’t actually have a website up when I contacted him. He also didn’t have plans on selling this paydirt to us Americans for a while but he has been putting all his burners on and updating his site so quickly it’s amazing.

The paydirt was so fun to pan but I think part of that might have just been because it’s from “Australia”! Not to take anything away from this paydirt as it was fun, but it was even more fun because of where it came from. It was on the harder side to pan out due to the fact it had no magnetized black sand. Nothing that was impossible but this was definitely on the harder side. Since all of the gold tend to be small mesh gold it is definitely paydirt you will want to process 2 to 3 times. You want to make sure you get all of the gold since the ROI is going to tend to be on the low side for us Americans.

So while this paydirt didn’t have the highest ROI and I actually got a bag that was on the lower end of the 0.3-0.7 gram average I was so excited to pan this stuff out it totally made up for it. I also want to point out Australia has some of the purest gold so the ROI is probably a little higher if I smelted my gold.

GoldenSpearMine’s 300gram bag also ended with a score of 8.4 out of 10. The score would have been much much higher except for the huge fee for shipping. Which I am not faulting the seller for as it’s not his fault postal companies are such rip offs. So that one little detail hurt the sellers ROI, Value and Shipping. So  if you purchase in bulk to reduce shipping cost would help out the ROI.

This review is my opinion and my results may vary from your results. My bag may have been a bad batch or a great batch, remember no two bags of paydirt are ever the same. So please use common sense when buying paydirt from any seller. Oh and good luck and happy panning!

  1. Iv purchased 2 bag from the golden spear. Got just over half a gram out of both. Total weight from both bags ended up being 1.35 grams. So pretty happy ☺

Congrats! If the shipping wasn’t so high these bags would have great ROIs. To me though I always love new places to pan, and since I will never ever get to Australia this was an awesome bag and experience. I actually got in a 2nd bag form them just waiting to review.

      • Thats awsome mate. Yeh iv purchased a few now and roughly about .5grm to .7grm from each bag. Fun stuff to pan just wish there were more ppl over here that sell pay dirt lol.

      • Hey I’m in Australia and getting a bag of this soon. Wish me luck

      • Hey mate I love your channel watch it after work everyday, I am from Australia I know of a few paydirt sellers here am I’m thinking about getting into it myself as my fathers property has gold and gems on it I will try and get some of it and send it to you

        • Sorry for delayed response. Yeah they have a few sellers in Australia but sadly not many of them will ship to me in the USA. Sure you have the same problem getting American paydirt. Well, thanks for watching and Happy Hunting.
