Lynch Mining 1lb Black Label Bag Gold Paydirt Review (

Ok I know I am a day late, but good things come to those that wait, lol. I was supposed to post this review yesterday but it was my birthday and didn’t feel like playing with youtube. So spent the day panning some paydirt and working in my shed. I am going to try and get my Miller Table going again so I can review it. Then I plan on rebuilding it so it works the way I want it to work. I also still am going to try and get two more reviews done this month and then next month will have 3 reviews from another seller.

Well on to the review and remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel HERE so as to not miss any of my reviews.

The Review:

LynchMining’s Paydirt. I am so so impressed with LynchMining’s paydirt I am almost at a loss for words. Even though I always talk about the ROI it is not why I am so impressed with LynchMining. All of the bags had great gold, but they also were both challenging and had very clean paydirt. Every bag had gold of different sizes so some of the gold came easy and some you had to really work for. I can honestly say I would buy any one of LynchMining’s paydirt again and I plan on it as soon as I can.

The paydirt in this batch of paydirt was mostly in the under 30 mesh range, with about 90% of it being black sands. What’s amazing is how much chunky gold I found in a black sands bag (I am not complaining). Almost all of the black sands were magnetic as has been the norm for LynchMining’s paydirt. While all of the LynchMining paydirt was clean, this was even cleaner since it was mostly black sands.

As usual, most of the gold in this bag was on the larger size, it was actually a lot larger. With one nugget weighing in at 0.70 grams. I didn’t weigh in all of the nuggets but it was obvious most of the gold in this bag was over 10 mesh, with the majority of the rest in the under 10, over 30 mesh area. I did find a small amount of gold in the under 30 mesh as well. It was a really impressive showing for the LynchMining’s Black Label Reserve Paydirt!

One thing I have to make sure I mention is that I actually paid less than the websites prices because I bought them when they were on sale for Labor Day. I didn’t calculate my ROIs with the sale price because not everyone will buy it on sale. So just imagine how good my ROI’s would have been with the sale price.

The LynchMining Black Label Reserve paydirt ended with a 9.4. The ROI ended at over 100% for the 3rd time with a bag of LynchMining’s paydirt which is unbelievable. Also even the AROI ended at over 100%. What’s truly amazing is how well all of LynchMining’s paydirt scored.

This review is my opinion and my results may vary from your results. My bag may have been a bad batch or a great batch, remember no two bags of paydirt are ever the same. So please use common sense when buying paydirt from any seller. Oh and good luck and happy panning!

  1. Thank you for these reviews !!! : )

I to live in a non- gold rush state ( NY ) and can’t pan out streams like I’d like to . I used to live in CA and GA. , but that’s another tale !
May your pan always turn yellow and thanks again !!!!!

    • I started in California and fell in love with Gold, but now due to health and location I am strictly a panner, but still love it.

  2. I’ve just purchased a bag of this from Lynch Mining after reading your review. I’ll keep you posted on how I make out with this pay dirt.

    • Definitely, let me know your results here. A fellow reviewer buddy of mine found very close to my amount as well in his bag.

      • I have a brand new blue bowl I haven’t used yet so was thinking of using that to separate the gold from the black sands and to capture any fines if any. Thoughts?

        • Yes use it, that’s why you bought it. Blue Bowls and Miller Tables are those pieces of equipment that people either love or hate. They are very temperamental and need a lot of fidgeting to get running just right. I would just set it up so you can catch the black sands and then rerun until you know your setup is working correctly.

          • Panned out the pay dirt and was able to recover 2.03 grams of gold.

Gold on the date of purchase was approx $40.48 a gram so that works out to $82.18 USD

For US citizens that’s a ROI of 126% -$65 for the pay dirt with free shipping.
For CAN citizens that’s a ROI of 97% – $65 for the pay dirt with $20 shipping (USD).

So all in all a great company, great product with a great ROI.

          • Awesome! Great to hear, I know another follower of mine got 2.14 grams out of his bag. So seems to be a very good bag of paydirt for everyone, which is always good to hear. I know lots of people think they LOAD up reviewers bags, but most of the time they don’t know it’s me. So did you use your Blue Bowl or just pan it out?

          • I used my blue bowl as I hadn’t used it before. I also didn’t have proper classifiers so kitchen sieves had to substitute (but I did just order a set of 9 classifiers!). I used the two sieves and literally picked a lot of the gold out by hand using tweezers. That’s how I got most of the gold out. I ran the finest mesh through the blue bowl and got another dozen or so pieces. It was a lot of fun to use. But there wasn’t any micro gold at all which is too bad. I’m looking forward to getting my next bag! 🙂

          • Kitchen Sieves are always the best in a pinch but this paydirt really didn’t need too much classification. Well congratulation again on a good bag and good luck on the next one.

  3. Well got this stuff and I only got 1.12 grams out of it, I guess the party is over.

    • I seriously doubt the party is over. As much as we all want all our bags to be over 100% ROI, you have to expect some lower ROIs or they would be out of business pretty quick. Also not sure what gold price was when you bought but that is still about a 70% ROI which would still around my top ten results.

  4. I was excited to order a bag of Black Label pay dirt because of the awesome reviews and comments. I panned and panned again and came up short, I only got .6 of a gram. Pretty disappointed as I don’t usually spend $67 plus $8 shipping. I paid extra for 3 day shipping but still waited a week to get my order. I won’t order from this seller again.

    • My suggestion would be to pan it again. Or do like my buddy Wayne does and wait until it is dry and use a magnifying glass and research it. This product is seeded with 1 gram of gold, so the minimum you should receive is 1 gram of gold if the dirt was a bad batch. I haven’t heard of anyone else finding less than a gram, because that would suck.

Also this is on the paydirt page

Please expect 1-7 days in handling time.

  5. I ordered a bag of this thanks to your review on 11/25. At the time they said that shipping would take 1-7 business days. On the seventh day they printed the shipping label but waited four more days to ship.

    Initial weigh-in 437g (0.96 lbs)

After removing the RUSTY BULLET CASING it weighed 0.95 lbs.

    Weigh out:
    366g Magnetics
    62g Dirt
    6g Bullet Casing
    1.035 g Gold

Totaling 435g. The one nice thing I can say is that the two gram difference means very clean

    • I know lynchMining wasn’t prepared for the BlackFriday sale they had. I don’t think they thought it would be that busy and the shipping suffered some. Plus it got them way behind on orders, since they still had to mine for the paydirt. I have asked Rhett about it and they have sped everything up. I will say though and I have said this about other sellers as well. I would rather have slow paydirt from a real miner then fast paydirt from someones back yard.

  6. I was trying to buy 3 bags of y’all pay dirt on my credit card it said to get with the buyer? Not sure what srong

    • Hi
Sadly I don’t sell paydirt, I just review it. You have to contact them through their website over at

  7. Lynch mining is my go to for pay dirt. I have never been disappointed typically order a couple bags a month. While it may take a while to get to Ohio it’s always worth the wait.

    • I am not a fan of the longer delays for shipping, but I know its because Rhett has to spend more time mining since they are so busy over at I always prefer buying from real mining operations!

  8. I just panned the Black Label bag and got only 1.05 grams (after panning it twice). I understand that each bag will vary, but if some are getting over 2 grams and some only 1 it’s a bit odd. Also, why is there a premium placed on the Black Label ($67) while they also promise 1 gram in the Reserve ($60) and Gizmo Supremo ($58)?

    • Hey, thanks for posting your results, sorry they weren’t better. As to why some get 2 grams and some get 1, well if they gave everyone 2 grams they would be out of biz quick, lol. From all the results I have seen my guess is they are doing bonus bags or something close to it but not advertising it. Most gold sellers run bonus bags or buyer would get tired of always finding exactly 1.1 grams on every bag.

  9. Looking to buy some of this stuff.
Not sure if its a gold panning thing, but I’m pretty sure the actual math for ROI is:

(recovered gold value – cost of dirt)
    ROI = __________________________

    cost of dirt

so 100% ROI means your recovered gold value is actually twice what you spent on the dirt.
an ROI of 0% means you found gold enough just to offset the dirt cost.
a negative ROI means you did not offset the cost of the dirt.

    • No the ROI is (Dirt – Gold recovered) SO 100% on a $50 bag of paydirt means I recovered $50 worth of gold. A 0% would mean I found zero gold. You seldom make your money back on paydirt, but its a hobby not a money making venture.

  10. i ordered a bag of the reserve and the black label on Sunday. I’ll report back on the results when it shows up

  11. Hi Dylan,

Have recently been noticing the extremely slow service from lynch Mining…Since they feature your vids, thought maybe you might know? Maybe not…
Anyway, they say that they will return e-mails within 48 hours and I have emailed 3 times over the last 10 weeks and have not gotten a single reply….
Just want to say I love your videos, I watch them over and over and really enjoy them!

    • Hi Kristin
I moved this to a LynchMining post so more people can read it.
It is really upsetting me that their customer service has dropped off significantly. While I know a lot of my reviews and what watchers look for is the ROI. I think Customer service is just as important and this really worries me! I do know they have had a message on site stating an issue with the email server but not sure if it is in your time line. You can try emailing them directly at or

      Hope that helps

      • Thanks for your prompt response, I appreciate it. I’ve been using the support@ e-mail. I first e-mailed on 5/1/2017 and 3 more times (about once every two weeks) This was prior to any internet issue being reported and I’ve noticed they are updating their website regularly. I’ll try the info@ e-mail and see if I have better luck.

        Thanks again!

        • Hi Dylan,

Just wanted to update my situation. I e-mailed info@ address and got a reply from Rhett this morning.

Here is some of the letter…

          “Removed for privacy reasons”

So I understand. They are going through a tough time right now. They do have one the best paydirts around and will continue to purchase from them….Hey! Thanks for your help on this!

          • Well glad they finally got a hold of you and hopefully the paydirt will be worth the wait.

        • No Problem!

  12. Bought 2 bags, 1 broken at the seam. Bought 2 more, both broken at the seam. Sand leaked into bubble wrap, into carton and who knows….. Emailed customer service a few times now, no one replies….

Just a heads up to anyone looking to place an order.

    • Those coffee bags is why all current reviews only get 8 out of 10. The bags are great for things like coffee where you don’t want air to get in, but it also makes it a balloon waiting to pop.

  13. Hi Dylan,

Hoping you can assist again, last time I got a prompt response with your help. So I placed a couple of orders with in a day of each other and was charged shipping on both items. When I received all items they were all in the same box. I requested that Lynch remove one of the shipping fees and they agreed. Fair enough. So now, it’s 3 weeks later and I received notification through paypal that the refund was declined by Lynchs bank. They sent 2 notifications, one that they would try to re-submit the refund with in 3 days and the last one that said it was declined. All the while I have sent Lynch 3 e-mails one to rhett himself and no one has gotten back to me. It is the principle here, not the money. Thanks for any help you can assist with. I appreciate it.

  14. Due to your reviews I bought several bags from Lynch. Black Label yielded 1.1 grams. Diablos pit – 1.3. I realize that nothings guaranteed in terms of amount of gold, but your finds are unrealistic, I would question whether anyone else has had as good results …… A pretty obvious set-up to promote sales at Lynch. I unfortunately bought more bags from Lynch due to your review. Won’t buy from Lynch again or look to your reviews for an honest review.

    • Hey Greg
If you only look at the positive reviews and think that is what you will always get then you will always be disappointed. About half of my reviews of LM are not good and did not recover good gold. Also not sure why you are complaining you recovered more than guaranteed???? All paydirt is a crapshoot, some sellers I get bad bags from others have a jackpot, it is the nature of the beast. I have seen and heard of much better recoveries then I received.
Also I will point out most of my LM videos are old, this one is almost 3 years old, and my newer reviews are not as kind to LM and I did not recover as much gold. Some companies do less once they get bigger.
