Jimbos Gold 1lb Idaho Bag Gold Paydirt Review (Jimbosgold.com)

Gold Review Time! It’s been a while sadly but I am back! We have finally moved into our new house in a new state so I can now get back to doing the little things in life I so enjoy like gold panning. With no further waste lets just jump right into the review…..

The Review:

This pay dirt is from JimbosGold.com a really great guy. We exchanged several emails back and forth and he truly is one of those gold mining lovers. He sells a lot of different bags of pay dirt as well as other mining supplies. Most of his pay dirt is from Arizona but I chose to go with the 1lb Idaho bag instead just to be different. When I purchased this pay dirt it was on sale, so this¬†review will reflect that price, but not sure if it is still on sale. The pay dirt is listed as challenging but I found it to be very easy since all of the fine black sands were magnetized so super easy cleanup. It was good and fun though which is always a plus. Had some very small rocks but nothing that couldn’t be panned out. If you want to run it through some mesh would help but really not needed. Overall I found the paydirt to be well worth the money and ended in my TOP 5 list for now with an ROI of 80.41%. So I will definitely be back to Jimbo’sGold.com to try out some of his Arizona PayDirt .

Also wanted to make a not, while most sellers ship Pay Dirt in Ziploc bags which I like, Jimbo ships his in some seriously thick bags. They are easy to empty like Ziplocs but way tougher. I am not a fan of those stylized coffee bags some top sellers use since they are hard to get into the nooks and crannies. Jimbo’s to me is probably the best of all worlds, easy like Ziploc but with the toughness of those coffee mylar bags.

JimbosGold.com ended with a great final score of 9.6 out of 10 and I really couldn’t have asked for more. In fact, the owner Jim Hamilton should probably get extra points for his customer service and the work he does for the gold mining community. JimbosGold will always be one of my top go to bags of paydirt.

***Disclaimer*** This review is my opinion and my results may vary from your results. My bag may have been a bad batch or a great batch, remember no two bags of paydirt are ever the same. So Please use common sense when buying paydirt from any seller.

  1. Great to have you back! I have your review page saved in my Favorites and check it several times a week looking for new pay dirts to try. As soon as I send this message I’m logging onto Jimbos and giving him a try. Thanks for the recommendation.

I just finished a 3 pound bag from Gold Bay and got a 76% ROI. That sounds pretty good but the gold was all +50 mesh so it felt artificial and it was a waste of time processing the smaller grades.

  2. Read your review (very good!) and went to the website. They charge $6.00 for shipping so your real yield is 60ish%. Should figure in cost of shipping!

  3. Sorry to comment off topic, but I needed to express my concern to someone who’ll understand. At the beginning of this year, Jimbo’s Gold held all five top spots on my paydirt rankings. Since he reformulated his prices and gold content over the summer, he’s barely hanging on to the 5, 6, 9 and 14th spots. I don’t fault him for wanting to increase his profit ratio and he’s still offering some of the best paydirt available, but somehow I feel we’ve all lost something special.

    • Someone has to pay for all the advertising and giveaways, lol. Seriously though I am not sure why h changed his paydirt, but sure he had his reasons. It does suck his ROI has consistently gone down, but he is still a top seller.
